The team for this project

The Harris Federation

The Harris Federation is a not-for-profit charity with over 25 years' experience of education in and around London. They have built their reputation on a family of academies that, across the board, are setting standards of excellence and fulfilling high expectations.

The Harris Federation is the top performing large multi-academy trust. As such, Harris academies are popular with parents; on average, they receive four applications for every place available.

The new school will be under the same leadership as Harris Academy Greenwich. Harris Academy Greenwich is one of the most successful schools in London. It is a school that is providing students with a first class education and amazing life experiences. This reflects the school's personal outlook on life and on education. They recognise that we only get one life and we should all use it to make a real difference in the world, to put a ‘ding’ in the universe.  Their role is to help students and staff dream bigger than they ever thought possible, and to make that dream come true through their culture of success, moral courage and integrity which beats at the heart of the school.

Department for Education

The Department for Education is responsible for children’s services and education, including early years, schools, higher and further education policy, apprenticeships and wider skills in England.

Department for Education is a ministerial department, supported by 18 agencies and public bodies.

The Department for Education is funding the proposals as part of it's Free School's programme.

Willmott Dixon

Willmott Dixon has been appointed by the Department for Education to develop proposals for the new school.

Headquartered in Letchworth Garden City, Willmott Dixon is a privately-owned contracting and interior fit-out group. Founded in 1852, we have a purpose beyond profit to leave a positive legacy in our communities and environment. In 2018, we were one of only six companies to receive a Queen's Awards for Enterprise in the promoting opportunity through social mobility category and followed this in 2019 by winning another Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for sustainable development, our third award in total. Our commitment that there’s ‘no better place to enjoy a career of a lifetime’ saw Willmott Dixon come fourth in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for list in 2019 and this was followed by being ranked number one for the UK in the FT’s first ever Diversity Leaders list for being an inclusive employer.
